Tobias’ passion for photography developed in his college years, in particular when he bought an old film camera from a friend and took it to Spain, walking the Camino de Santiago – or St. James Way – all the way to Finisterre. Ever since then, a camera has been a companion on all his travels and he rarely leaves the house without it. Travel and urban motives form the basis of most of Tobias’ work. Being particularly interested in the urban dynamics of human dwellings around the world, Tobias has developed a fascination for people in urban transit – portraying them in motion through their space.
